SENIOR PRODUCER
FOX 5 ATLANTA is searching the country for the best Senior Promotion Writer/Producer. Work with our award winning promotion team at one of the top FOX stations in the nation. Show off your brilliant creative ideas by producing high profile spots and projects. Edit on our tapeless AVID systems and work in our state of the art EQ Suite. Supervisory duties include approving topical copy and acting as occasional radio liaison. Candidate must be a top writer/producer/editor and a real “go getter” with at least three years of promotion experience and a college degree. Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work well with others. Non-linear editing experience is required! Camera operation and an understanding of design programs is always a plus. NEWS
SENIOR WEB PRODUCER
The Senior Web Producer is responsible for all aspects of the station’s web sites, including but not limited to the generation and maintenance of news content, production of text, photos and videos, streaming of newscasts and live news events; monitoring the web site for quality control purposes, and the production of special sections including news, advertising and special interest content; supervises the team of Web Producers, including the delegation of work assignments, scheduling and performance evaluations; works with the Web Sales Manager to generate and maintain sponsored online content, works with National Sales and Editorial team to manage all production/quality aspects of the station’s web site; conceptualizes and produces high profile creative online material; performs duties of online writer/producer, specializing in print style writing, copy editing, and editorial newsgathering; facilitates the editorial gathering of compelling web material using information from various sources and contacts; works with newsroom editorial managers to integrate broadcast and online newsgathering to facilitate the delivery of content using new distribution platforms; ensures websites are coded to standards consistent with web style. Bachelors degree plus 2-3 years of web production experience preferred. Expert knowledge of web production, traffic reporting and ad serving systems; solid understanding of web standards, design and usability; knowledge of common web and application architectures; knowledge of print and broadcast newsroom standards and styles; understanding of user online behavior; highly skilled in all areas of a/v digitizing, editing and encoding techniques; advanced knowledge of internet publishing software and content management systems; position demands excellent print/web writing, web editing, interface design and web production skills; handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline-oriented environment; excellent communication skills; ability to work under pressure as a cohesive member of a team; knowledge of HTML, JSP, FLASH and Photoshop.
OPERATIONS
BROADCAST TECH WITH MASTER CONTROL
Duties include operating robotic and hand-held cameras, lighting equipment, teleprompter and will need to floor direct; operating the florical automation system and Leitch servers; ingestion of programs, commercials and promos; timing and formatting of shows; monitoring air and transmitters as well as cable and satellite feeds; and ensures compliance of FCC regulations including such items as closed captioning and EAS. Must have a knowledge of production techniques and be able to work well with peers while under pressure to meet deadlines; good written and communication skills are essential. Must have a strong working knowledge of computers and servers and be proficient in operating with Microsoft Windows. A minimum of two years experience in a television station, network production facility or cable network studio operation is required. This should include at least one year as a Master Control Technician. Computer networking skills and experience with servers are a plus.
