Savannah police seek leads on 2 weekend killings

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Police in Savannah are seeking leads after two men were shot to death over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police say the first shooting happened Friday night. They say 21-year-old Devonte Mumford was found shortly before 8:30 p.m. Friday with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a sports bar on Skidaway Road.

Later, around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police say 37-year-old Antonio Duncan was shot in a Chevrolet Malibu station wagon as it traveled north on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Police say both men were taken to Memorial University Medical Center, where both died.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information on either crime to call police or CrimeStoppers.
