Charges were upgraded on Friday for a 28-year-old who was arrested in connection to a 4-year-old's death.
After further investigation, Shardae Glover is now facing a felony murder charge in connection to the death of Jamila Hart.
Glover also faces charges of cruelty to children, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery, according to Clayton County officials.
On August 24, officers responded to Glover's home because Jamila Hart was not breathing.
The child was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
According to reports, Jamila Hart had numerous bruises on her head and body.
The mother of the child, Danielle Hart, 24 is charged with child cruelty, and child deprivation.
Two other children were removed from the home. The investigation continues.
