Lilburn police tell FOX 5 Atlanta that a 26-year-old was arrested twice after his niece, 2, was found with GHB “date-rape drug” in her system.

Police received a call from Scottish Rite Hospital after the toddler was brought to the hospital with severe burns to her legs.

Investigators said that Terrence Darling called EMS after he noticed his niece making funny noises and was unresponsive.

Darling said he didn't know what was wrong with her, and she kept slumping over.

According to reports, Darling set his niece up on the stovetop and she got burned.

Darling was originally charged with reckless conduct, but when toxicology reports came back weeks later the results showed that there was GHB is the girl's system.

He was then arrested again on an additional count of reckless conduct and cruelty to children.

There were five other children in the home at the time of the incident.

The kids are now in the care of Division of Family and Children Services, according to Lilburn police.
