FBI: 'Top 10 Most Wanted' fugitive caught after 2 years on the run

ATLANTA, Ga. -

The Atlanta Police Department and the The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a woman who was on the run for over two years.

Investigators said Kimberly Laverne Ward was wanted for attempted murder of her ex-boyfriend on March 19, 2012.

The victim was shot one time in the chest and was on a breathing tube to survive.

Officials said Ward was the only female on the Top 10 Most Wanted list and stayed there for over two years.

Ward was arrested in Claxton, Georgia working at a poultry plant. She was living in nearby Savannah.
