Dr. Beverly Hall will not stand trial with other defendants in APS case

Posted: Updated:
A Fulton County judge ruled Friday that former Atlanta Public Schools superintendent Dr. Beverly Hall will not stand trial as scheduled next month due to her declining health.

The charges were not dropped against Hall.

Hall and other defendants are accused in a widespread cheating conspiracy to boost scores on standardized tests.

According to doctors, Hall's stage four breast cancer spread to her liver and bones and that she is physically unable to endure a mid-August trial.

FOX 5 will continue to follow this story.
