Tennessee man charged in Sandy Springs accident that killed wife

 Sandy Springs police have charged a Tennessee man in connection with a fatal accident along Roswell Road. Investigators

said on June 28, James Straley, 78, was traveling north on Roswell Road and entered the left turn only lane for I-285 west. Straley was struck by a Nissan Pathfinder.

It was determined that Straley failed to yield as he was turning left, according to reports. Passenger Ailsie Straley, 72, was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Northside Hospital.

Ailsie Straley went into cardiac arrest and died on the way to the hospital, according to Sandy Springs police.

James Straley was charged with failure to yield while turning left and vehicular homicide in the second degree.

He was escorted to the City of Alpharetta Jail in order to post bond.
