Kennesaw councilman released on bond, charged with two counts of child molestation

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -

A Kennesaw city councilman is accused of molesting a boy at his Cobb County home.

Leonard Leroy Church, 66, was arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation.

Detectives say the juvenile reported to his parents that he had been shown pornographic material and molested at the councilman's home on Dreux Court in Kennesaw.

According to his biography on the City of Kennesaw's website, Church is married with six children and nine grandchildren. His term expires in 2017.

Church earlier served two terms as Kennesaw's Mayor.
