Georgia professors developing online textbook

Posted: Updated:

DAHLONEGA, Ga. (AP) - Two faculty members at a state university are using a grant to develop an online textbook.

University of North Georgia Dean of Libraries Deborah Prosser and English professor Bonnie Robinson are using a $25,000 grant from the University System of Georgia to make the school's world literature textbook available online for free or at low cost.

Prosser and Robinson told the Times of Gainesville that textbook costs, which can run more than $100, can prevent certain students from keeping up with course assignments.
