GDOT: Ga 400 construction cancelled

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Transportation has cancelled construction plans to shift the lanes of GA 400 Wednesday night due to weather.

According to the GDOT, three northbound lanes of GA 400 will shift at the former toll plaza during the overnight hours Wednesday night.

The change will occur so that construction crews can demolish and remove the final standing component of the former toll plaza.

The northbound lanes will be shifted to the right of the toll plaza structure and will stay in place until the demolition is complete.

Ga 400’s southbound lanes will make a similar shift Thursday night.

The demolition is expected to last approximately two months after which the lanes will be shifted into their permanent position.
