Police arrest suspect in deadly Marietta shooting

MARIETTA, Ga. - Marietta police have arrested and charged a man for the deadly shooting that took the life of a teenager in Cobb County.

Blaylan Phillips, 20, is charged with Felony Murder for the homicide of Christopher Wilson. Phillips is currently being held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

One person is dead and two others injured after an overnight house party shooting in Marietta.

According to police, the shooting happened at the "Dwell at 750" Apartments on the 700 block of Franklin Road.

Officials say the two men were were shot by a group of uninvited guests who sparked the argument which led to the shooting. It happened just after midnight. Another person was injured however the cause of that person's injuries are unknown, at this time.

Christopher Wilson, 19, was killed and Chauncey Martin, 19, and Malik Phillips, 18, were also shot and transported to Kennestone Hospital. Martin and Phillips are expected to be fine.
