Posted: Updated:
FORSYTH, Ga. - A Monroe judge has denied bond for a mother suspected of killing her 5-year-old daughter.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, 5-year old Heaven Woods died as a result of blunt force trauma to the abdomen. An autopsy revealed Woods also suffered a number of other injuries, new and old.

Wood was found unresponsive at a home on the 300 block of Brookwood Drive in Forsyth on May 20. She was pronounced dead at the Monroe County Hospital after several attempts by EMS medics to revive her.

Authorities say they received two calls to the Forsyth home the day of Woods' death. The GBI began an investigation into the death immediately. Woods' mother, Amanda Hendrickson, 33, and another man Roderick Buckner, 34, were arrested and charged with Felony Cruelty to Children First Degree and other charges.

According to a release from the GBI, Hendrickson has a history with the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.
