3 girls at-large after Palmetto caretaker robbery

Posted: Updated:
PALMETTO, Ga. - Three teenaged girls are on the run after police say they assaulted their caregiver at a Palmetto group home.

The girls, 17-year-old Shanautica Hardy, 17-year-old Kiante Williams and a 16-year-old juvenile, are accused of beating and duct taping their 59-year-old caretaker along with two other girls on May 3.

Authorities say the five girls assaulted the woman, stole her car and tried to get away with the vehicle; however, they crashed a short time later and fled on foot. Two of the girls were arrested near the crash site.

Police think the remaining three may be near the Old National Highway area.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is being asked to contact Sergeant Lee Gragg of the Palmetto Police Department at 770-463-9068.
