Police: FedEx shooter's suicide note found

Posted: Updated:
Cobb Police said they might be closer to finding a motive in the Fed Ex shooting that injured several workers.

According to Cobb police, the alleged shooter, Geddy Kramer, left a suicide note before walking into his workplace, shooting his co-workers and then committing suicide. Kramer was allegedly armed with a shotgun, knife, an ammo belt, and four molotov cocktails.

Police said the note was found after searching Kramer’s maroon Honda at his Acworth home. Kramer lived in Acworth with his younger brother and father.

Police said that the note is now part of their active investigation into the FedEx shooting. The case will not be prosecuted, but detectives still plan to find a motivation for Kramer’s actions.

“We're building it from the ground up. You got to have a foundation before you can have a roof,” said Cobb County Officer Mike Bowman. “And so we are trying to lay the foundation of exactly what transpired, why it transpired and we are building it up from there.”

Police believe that Kramer acted alone in the shootings.

Meanwhile Kramer's father says he is heartbroken and confused by the whole situation. "Gun are not allowed in this house" he told reporters Wednesday. "He left (Tuesday) just like any other day, he showed no signs that anything was wrong". Kramer had not previously expressed any trouble at work or issues with co-workers, his father said.
