UPDATE: FOX 5 has learned that the lockdown on Kennesaw State University has now been lifted.
Kennesaw State Police released a statement saying that the possible gunman at the KSU campus was actually an individual with a cell phone in his pocket.
According to the statement KSU police responded to a call about a suspicious man with a possible weapon in his pocket Friday Afternoon. As a precaution, university officials placed the campus on lockdown while searching for the individual.
Police said that the individual was then found with a cell phone in his pocket and confirmed that he never posed a threat to the community.
Police said that the lockdown has since been lifted and the all clear has been issued.
