They say the customer is always right. One Dalton car salesman might tell you otherwise.
Omar Dedios owns D1 Used Cars. Last Monday Dedios said a man came in to complain about an engine light on in a minivan his son had purchased.
Dalton Police identified that man as Modesto Cardenas. Investigators said Cardenas told Dedios to fix his son's car, or he would blow his brains out.
Police said Cardenas pulled out a gun and a struggle ensued. Officers said Dedios managed to wrestle the gun away from Cardenas, but not before a shot was fired into one of the walls.
Dalton Police said employees helped subdue Cardenas and he was arrested on aggravated assault charges.
Whitfield County Sheriff's Office said Cardenas was released from jail on $5,000 bond.
