Two buildings engulfed in Downtown Rome

ROME, Ga. -

One building has completely burned to the ground and another one is still burning in downtown Rome.

The fire ignited around 4 a.m.

According to the Floyd County dispatch, the building are located on the 1100 block of North Fifth Avenue and authorities say one was a doctor's office.

No injuries have been reported, at this time.

At this time, traffic on North Fifth Avenue and Martha Berry Boulevard is closed. Police will be detouring oncoming traffic until the fire has been controlled.
