Homeowners upset about nearby noise

Posted: Updated:
ROSWELL, Ga. -
The weather is getting warmer, and that means "patio time" for restaurant patrons across metro Atlanta. But the party is not sitting well with everyone. Some Roswell residents are split as to when the party should end. Some people said it is too loud, too late, and that has to change.

One resident is half a mile from historic downtown Roswell, but she said she can hear the music from the bars and restaurants stream into her home.

FOX 5 saw the manager of one restaurant come out several times with the decibel meter. That is another part of the ordinance that homeowners said they want changed. They said they don't want it measured by a meter, they want it measured by their own ears.

FOX 5 spoke with a few bar owners who said they would be willing to work with residents on a new ordinance that is fair for all.
