Burglary Suspect Admits "I Pooped In My Pants"

Posted: Updated:

A suspected burglar broke into the wrong home in Vancouver, Washington and found himself in a very messy situation.

The alleged victim Jason Guerra says he and his girlfriend arrived home Sunday night when they saw a strange man standing in their living room.

The suspect, identified as Nathan Severin, tried to walk out the front door, but that's when Jason tackled him and the two started wrestling on the ground, according to police.

Jason finally got control of him and that when he says the burglar revealed just how sorry and stunned he really was. That's when Severin allegedly said he had soiled himself.

"He said everything he could think of," Guerra told Fox 12. "He said he was in a bad spot. He didn't mean to. That he was sorry. And one of the last things he said was, 'come on man, I pooped my pants."

Police arrived and arrested Severin, but officers said he didn't go quietly.

According to court documents, he was first taken to the hospital for an evaluation prior to being booked in jail. While at the hospital, he's accused of kicking a nurse in the arm.

A probable cause affidavit states he also kicked an officer in the face while being handcuffed again after an X-ray.

"He had some issues," Guerra said. "He had a bad day."

Severin made his first court appearance Monday. He was in court again Tuesday and his bail was upheld at $40,000. He is charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault.

His formal arraignment is set for April 4.
