Get A Taste Of Georgia's Booming Wine Business This Weekend

ATLANTA, Ga. -

The signature fruit of Georgia has always been the peach, but if some North Georgia wineries have there way...someday it could be the grape.

Several Georgia wineries are thriving right now, producing award-winning wines from beautiful, sprawling vineyards.  Among them is Yonah Mountain Vineyards, a nearly 200-acre estate which boasts a newly-opened tasting room and "wine cave."  Founded by Bob and Jane Miller nearly a decade ago, the growing business now produces several varieties of grapes and wines.  Bob Miller's goal is to produce wines that break the boundaries of traditional "Georgia wines," and say he wants a product that can stand up against any other in the world.

An easy way to check out Yonah Mountain Vineyards and other North Georgia wineries is on the VIP Southern Tours Wine Bus.  Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken boarded the bus for a lesson in this increasingly-important industry -- click the video to check it out!
