WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. -

A bond hearing originally set for Friday for the suspect in the murder of a Dalton convenience store clerk has been cancelled.

Skyy Mims is charged with killing 37-year-old Dahyabhai Chaudhari at a store on Airport Road Sunday night.

The bond hearing for Mims was cancelled at the request of the Public Defender's Office.

A report from the state crime lab shows that Chaudhari died of a stab wound to the back.

A customer who found Chaudhari's body says his mouth and eyes had been taped shut with duct tape.

Mark Rogers says he saw change scattered behind the cash register, leading him to think the store had been robbed.

Mims is described by friends as an aspiring model, dancer and rapper from Detroit, who traveled here to try to make a mark on the Atlanta music scene.
