Clayton County Schools announce snow make-up days

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Clayton County Public Schools have announced their plan to make-up for missed instructional time during last month's snow and ice storms.

The school system has changed a staff development day scheduled for March 17th to a regular school day for students. The district is also delaying the start of the Criterion Reference Competency Test (CRCT) from Tuesday, April 15th until Thursday, April 17th.

The Board of Education approved the changes at Monday night's board meeting.

"This decision was made with a great deal of consideration of many factors including valuable input from our principals and our Teaching and Learning staff," said Interim Superintendent Luvenia W. Jackson.

The school system is also urging parents to take advantage of after school and Saturday tutorial programs, as well as the digital resources available to students online.
