DUNWOODY, Ga. -

Dunwoody Police are looking for a police impersonator known to hang around a Dunwoody hotel helping himself to food.

The incident happened at the Dunwoody StayBridge Suites, located on the 4600 block of Ridgeview Road.

Hotel employees say the man who has been an unwelcome visitor for weeks. He has stopped by for free breakfast multiple times even though he is not a guest at the restaurant. When the manager confronted him back in December, he fired back by throwing a cup of scalding tea in the managers face.

The manager wasn't severely injured.

Hotel employees say he returned a few days ago flashing a badge pretending to be a police officer to get more free food. The man did not display a weapon.

"We are just not sure what he is capable of. If he wants to hurt somebody for free food, what's going to happen when we get him under arrest. We want to get him identified and get him in custody," Dunwoody police said.

The man is described as a black man about 5'6" to 5'8" tall and around 180 lbs. They say he likely lives in the area because every time he has walked away fled on foot. Anyone with information is being asked to contact Dunwoody Police.
