Wounded Soldier Picture Goes Viral

Posted: Updated:

A photo of a wounded soldier has gone viral on social media.

Zack Weisheit took a picture with a message hoping it would get him closer to his wife's longtime wish coming true.

"I'm a wounded warrior that wants to make my supportive wife's dream come true in 2014."

His wife's dream? To meet former President of the United States George W. Bush.

"My husband has known of my love for this man since we met when we were 16," Jennifer Weisheit told FOX29.

"Right before the end of the year we were talking about how much I would love to meet President Bush. It was there that the idea came up to make it a Facebook campaign. We started it on January 1 and it got quite a few shares but not too many likes."

Word spread about Zach and Jennifer's wish on Valentine's Day when the American Military page messaged the couple. This was also the couple's 10 year wedding anniversary.

Zach was just medically retired in December after 10 years in the Army. In 2012, he did five months in Afghanistan where he later was medevac'd and came home. He was in Army's 1 Cavalry Division.

The couple has 3 kids, 7-year-old Abby, 5-year-old Zach Jr and 2-year-old Reagan.

Jennifer says they have not talked to the White House or President Bush's office.
