Authorities say the incident occurred on Coan Road, just east of Willow Creek Drive in McDonough when a pickup truck, driven by 17-year-old Nash Beever, struck a tree.

The white Ford Ranger, which was also occupied by four other people, left the roadway around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Beever was pronounced dead on the scene.
