FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

A Sandy Springs police officer helped to deliver a baby during the snowstorm on Interstate 285 on Tuesday.

According to Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose, the expectant parents' car was stranded on the interstate near Riverside Drive. Officer Tim Sheffield helped the new father deliver the child – a girl – around 5:25 p.m.

The delivery appeared to have no complications. The child and the parents were transported to the hospital, Rose said.
