Roswell native goes missing in Texas

Posted: Updated:
ROSWELL, Ga. -

Friends and family are desperately searching for a 33-year-old woman originally from Roswell.

Leanne Hecht Bearden was traveling the world with her husband Josh when they stopped in to visit some relatives in Garden Ridge, Texas last week. She went for a hike on Friday and hasn't been seen since.

The entire Hecht family is now in Texas searching for Leanne. As the days and hours pass, their fears are growing and their effort to find her intensifies.

"We canvassed the area for the last three or four days looking anywhere. We think she may have climbed up some hills or rocks or just fell over and was hurt and in someone's backyard," said Michael Hecht, Leanne's brother.

As of now, there are no signs of Hecht. The family doesn't know what path she chose, but are afraid she may have fallen and could be in desperate need of help.

A Facebook page has been set up to provide updates on the search. Click here for more information.
