Well-dressed man uses tire iron to rob pharmacy

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Police say are on the search for a man who got dressed up and robbed a CVS Pharmacy in southwest Atlanta.

On Dec. 12, he man walked into the store on Headline Drive wearing a suit, tie and overcoat. He brought potato chips and Gatorade to the counter, but instead of paying, he took out a common automotive tool.

"As the cashier opened the drawer, he then pulled out a small tire iron, swung it at her and took the cash drawer and fled from the store," said Officer John Chafee of the Atlanta Police Department.

Chafee said the crook walked into the CVS without his cap, leaving an easily-recognizable picture.

Eyewitnesses directed the responding officer to a spot behind the store where a man had been seen. Police found the empty cash register there.

Police hope someone will recognize the dapper thief and call them.
