Auto-related firm to open in January in Acworth

Posted: Updated:

ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) - A firm that makes vehicle roofing systems is expected to open next month northwest of Atlanta.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports that Inalfa Roof Systems is set to open its doors at the Cherokee 75 Corporate Park in Acworth during the first week of January.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced in June that the plant is expected to create 300 jobs.

Plant manager Daniel Twork told the Marietta newspaper that the first line of production will start shipping out of the new facility on Jan. 31.

Twork said the plant, which is the first facility to open at the Cherokee 75 park, has hired about 85 employees, with the goal of 300 workers likely to be realized by 2015.
