Duck Dynasty star Jep Robertson to visit Atlanta

Posted: Updated:

ATLANTA (AP) - Jep Robertson, one of the stars of TV's Duck Dynasty, is scheduled to appear at an Atlanta running race this weekend as debate rages over comments by his father and fellow cast member.

A&E suspended Phil Robertson for comments about gay people that he made during an interview with GQ magazine. Several fans of the show reacted angrily, saying Robertson has a right to voice his views.

Jules Jeptha "Jep" Robertson, who is Phil Roberton's youngest son, is scheduled to appear at the "Duck Dash Atlanta" 5K at 9 a.m. Saturday at Turner Field.

The Duck Dash Atlanta website states that the race is billed as "a complete redneck 5k." The event's website states that awards will be presented by Jep Robertson for 5K overall champions and the "most redneckedness" costume.
