With the start of the school year, many kids are using Crayola markers to color pictures for loved ones, but what happens to all those markers when they dry out?
Crayola says it can now turn those old plastic markers into diesel fuel that can be used in boilers, ships -- even your car.
The company is teaming up with New York's clean energy company JBI to create a "Colorcyle Initiative."
So far, some 600 schools have signed up for the free program.
Crayola does not make a profit off this initiative. They hope to one day recycle up to 70 million markers a year.
Students can get their schools to sign up for the program at http://www.crayola.com/COLORCYCLE
