Elderly woman with dementia missing from Auburn Gresham

Chicago Police are asking the public's help to find an elderly woman who went missing from the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood Tuesday.

Fatimah Shabazz, 70, was last seen about 4 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Laflin Street, according to an alert issued by Area South detectives.

Shabazz suffers from dementia, the alert said. She is described as a 5-foot-4, 110-pound black woman with brown eyes, gray hair and a light complexion.

She was last seen wearing a green top and green pants, the alert said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call detectives at (312) 747-8274.
