ATLANTA -

The identity of the man found dead in southwest Atlanta on Friday afternoon was release Sunday.

A spokesperson with the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office tells FOX 5 News that Nicholas L. Grant, 32, of College Park was found shot to death Friday at Butner Road and Aldredge Road in the Cliffondale neighborhood.

Investigators for the Fulton County Police Department canvassed the neighborhood after the body was discovered, but didn't produce any leads.

The death has not been officially ruled a homicide, but investigators said Friday that they believe foul play was involved.

The Body was found just off the roadway, not far from housing developments and a police firing range. Police said they do not believe the death was result of a stray bullet from that range.

The investigation into the man's death continues.
