Police say a man crossing the Downtown Connector Sunday morning was killed after being struck by several vehicles on the interstate.

Investigators say Sung Sin, 65, of Atlanta died from the trauma of being struck by those vehicles.

Police were called out to the Downtown Connector near Georgia Highway 166 around 5 a.m. Sunday for a report of a man walking in traffic being hit by a vehicle. They found Sin dead at the scene.

They are currently looking for several vehicles that did not remain at the scene.

The interstate was closed for about two hours while police conducted their investigation. They are not sure why Sin was walking on the interstate.
