Fayetteville police seek suspect who attacked woman

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -

Police in Fayetteville are looking for a suspect who allegedly attacked a woman in a parking lot at Kohl's department store on Saturday.

According to Fayetteville police, the woman was attacked after she left her vehicle and was walking towards the door of the store located on Pavilion Parkway. They say the suspect grabbed her by the collar and threw her to the ground. He then took her purse, and fled through the parking lot heading north. Police searched the area but did not find the suspect.

Police say the victim suffered injuries to her arm and neck , and was treated at the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a black male between 16 and 20 years old. They say he is 5'7" to 5'9" tall and very thin. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt over a red shirt, black shoes and a black baseball cap with a red bill and logo.
