Authorities are investigating a possible explosion in southeast Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon.
A man suffered minor burns after opening at package at a thrift store on 1599 Memorial Drive SE in Atlanta.
Investigators determined that the package was not a bomb, according to Sgt. Greg Lyon of the Atlanta Police Department. It was not clear if the burns were the result of an explosion, flash fire or something else, Lyon said.
Fire and police crews were seen at the scene, along with FBI, Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials and a bomb squad unit, FOX 5's Justin Gray reports.
The thrift store provides jobs and resources for homeless veterans.
Authorities said it appeared to be a minor, isolated incident.
The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor burns, but was expected to be released on Tuesday night.
