Freeze warning issued as spring begins

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

The calendar may say spring but the thermometer will tell a different story for at least a few more days.

A freeze warning is in effect for most of Georgia, including the metro Atlanta area, from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday.

FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Jeff Hill says that we could see light sleet or snow in the metro Atlanta area early Friday morning. Residents in the north Georgia mountains could even see a light dusting, Jeff said.
