Man leaves note apologizing for theft, police say

COBB COUNTY, Ga. -

An accused thief's possible change of heart may now have authorities on the trail to find him.

Dalton Lee White, 20, is now accused of stealing jewelry and checks from a Cobb County man.

The police report alleges the suspect left the victim a note apologizing for the theft.

White is still at large and authorities in both Cherokee and Cobb County are still investigating him.
