CVS policy requires workers to report weight or pay penalty

CVS drugstore employees are facing a much-talked about ultimatum: weigh or pay!
The store's new healthcare policy requires employees to report their weight, body fat and glucose levels to their insurance company. If they don't, they have to pay a $600-a-year fine.
CVS says it will pay for the health screenings and it claims it will not see its employee's personal data.
That hasn't stopped the move from upsetting folks who work there as well as many civil liberties groups.
The company is defending its choice. In a statement to the Boston Herald, CVS said, "Our benefits program is evolving to help our colleagues take more responsibility for improving their health and managing health-associated costs."
