Belk is leaving Duluth's Gwinnett Place Mall. A spokesman for the store says they looked at its financial performance and competition in their decision.

That leaves Sears, JC Penney's and Macy's as major anchors at the mall located off Pleasant Hill Road.

Belk has other locations in Norcross and Buford, but have no plans for any other changes.

There is no word on a closing date.
