Car backs into child in Cartersville - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

Police say a driver hit a 2-year-old while backing out of the driveway in Cartersville on Friday.

Officers say the child was in the front yard on MLK Drive when someone backed out of the home's driveway and knocked the child under the car.

The child suffered a severe cut to the head, but was stable.

The child was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
