Police search for man after chase - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

Authorities in Sandy Springs say they are looking for man after a chase with Georgia State Capitol Police ended on Friday afternoon.

Early reports indicate the chase may have ended on Interstate 285 Eastbound east of New Northside Parkway.

Sandy Springs police say the motorcycle driver fled on foot after a traffic stop in an area of nearby Powers Ferry Road. 

A perimeter was set up to try to locate the man, but attempts were unsuccessful.

It is not known why the man was fleeing police.
