Job fair held for military veterans - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

More than a thousand military veterans filled the Georgia Dome in search of employment on Friday.

The career fair was geared exclusively for veterans and their spouses.

The job expo allowed jobseekers to meet face to face with a wide range of companies, including Kroger, Merrill Lynch and CVS.

Organizers described it as a perfect way to bring the two together.                                     

The agency Recruit Military and Atlanta's Home Depot organized the career event.

Home Depot currently employs more than 35,000 veterans.
