Fulton County women's shelter marks 1-year anniversary - Atlanta News, Weather, Traffic, and Sports | FOX 5

Fulton County marked a one year partnership of creating a safe haven to help homeless women with children.

The county opened Springdale Place on Feb. 28 in 2012 to help single moms bounce back.

In addition to transitional housing, the facility provides meals, counseling, medical services and job training.

A mother of three daughters, Vanessa Lee is grateful for a Springdale Place.

Since Springdale Place opened one year ago, it has helped 180 homeless mothers work to get back on their feet.
