Tim Tebow cancels speech at controversial, anti-gay Dallas church

Tim Tebow's has decided to cancel a speaking engagement at a highly controversial Texas church.

The NFL quarterback had planned on speaking at the First Baptist Church of Dallas in April.

The church has caused controversy in the past when leader Robert Jeffress has spoken out against groups like homosexuals, Muslims, Mormons and Jews,

A message posted on Tebow's Facebook page stated that he decided to cancel ‘due to new information that has been brought to my attention.'

Tebow continued, ‘I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Faith, Hope and Love to all those needing a brighter day. Thank you for all of your love and support. God Bless!'
