LAKELAND, Fla. (WJBK) -

There are tough jobs and there are dirty jobs.  When it comes to spring training in Lakeland, there's the job of clubhouse assistants.  What exactly do they do?  We caught up with one as he focused on footwear.

"What's the key to a good shine?" I asked Brady Munger.

"Basically what you want to do is just make sure you get all the mud out of them.  The guys don't like when their shoes are dirty, so they like them nice and clean.  So you basically just got to make sure you get all the dirt out of the crevices, make sure you get all the grass out," he said.

How long has Brady been doing this?

"This is actually my first year doing it, but after about the first day of practice, after you do about 30 pairs of cleats, you get pretty good at it," he said.

How do you get to be the guy that cleans Miguel Cabrera's cleats?

"You've got to be special, but we're all pretty much interns here from school.  But, yeah, it's kind of a cool thing.  Lots of people think this would kind of stink, but it's really not that bad.  It's kind of enjoyable," said Brady.
