DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating a crash in metro Atlanta that halted traffic on a portion of Interstate 285 for more than two hours after a pedestrian was struck and killed.
DeKalb County police were called to the crash scene at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Police say at least two cars hit a man walking on the busy highway that encircles Atlanta.
The crash scene was cleared and traffic resumed at about 6:30 a.m.
Police say they don't know what the man who was killed was doing on I-285 on foot. His identity was not immediately released.
