DALTON, Ga. -
Authorities say a small earthquake struck near Dalton, in northwest Georgia.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports (http://bit.ly/10zgySz) that the quake hit at 7:39 Tuesday about four miles northwest of Dalton.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that it was a 2.9-magnitude earthquake. There were no immediate reports of any damage.
