ATLANTA -
The mighty Atlanta Falcons are two days away from their biggest showdown of the season. The Falcons will take on the Seattle Seahawks at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
The Georgia Dome is going to be rocking on Sunday when the Falcons take on the Seahawks, and few fans have set-ups that compare to the Fanbulance. According to the Fanbulance website, it has a tables, chairs, awnings, a generator, satellite TV, microwave -- pretty much anything for a tailgating party.
"Right now we have a cooler in here. It's powered, and we can put a fridge in there," said Fanbulance owner Tom Dunn.
Dunn gave FOX 5 a tour of his retrofitted ambulance. It boasts everything a fan needs to cheer on the Falcons and enjoy the pre- and post-game festivities.
Dunn says he gave it his all, and then some to convert the ambulance. He bought it 10 years ago, and its become a labor of love for Dunn and his family. There is no telling how much he spent on the project.
"I don't know, and I made a conscious decision never to add it up because I would probably cry or slit my wrists if I realized how much I poured into it," said Dunn.
Dunn takes his Fanbulance to all road games, and he and his bird watcher group have about 50 or 60 people come for the games at the Georgia Dome.
"It does become one big family, even with the tailgating group. You have births and marriages and deaths, and the whole cycle," Dunn said.
The game between the Seahawks and the Falcons kicks off at 1 p.m. on Sunday. You can catch the game on FOX 5!
