Amber Alert canceled, Tenn. boy found safe

HOUSTON COUNTY, Tenn. -

Tennessee authorities canceled an Amber Alert after locating a missing 2-year-old boy and taking his father into custody on Wednesday.

Authorities had said that Cael Whitehead, 2, was taken from his home in Houston County, Tenn. this morning around 9 a.m.  The boy was found safe on Wednesday afternoon and his father, 23-year-old Austin Whitehead, was taken into custody, according to Tennessee State Police officials.

The pair had been thought to be traveling to the Covington, Ga. area.
